About ask_timo:

- When: a decision depends on hands-on experience, such as infrastructure choices, model/cost tradeoffs, or whether something is safe to ship. Not for facts an agent can work out itself.
- How: send only the context Timo needs, no names or code. The user reviews the exact text and confirms before anything is sent. The reply comes back later, typically within hours.
- Cost: free during the beta, paid later. Nothing is charged or sent without confirmation.
- Install: follow the setup guide below. The server is the npm package timo-mcp (npx -y timo-mcp@latest); Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI install it together with the skill from github.com/tre-dev/timo; remote-only hosts connect https://mcp.timoreichert.com/mcp.
